Cocoon Airbag Protection is a Swedish Startup founded in 2019, by parent and industrial designer Emma Garatea.
My idea took shape when I became a mother and was discouraged over the idea of cycling with my toddler. I got an overwhelming response from parents all over Sweden expressing their fear in traffic situations and I realized that today's products do not offer parents the safety they need. With my background as an industrial designer and with a special interest in safety, I decided it was time to find a solution to this problem. I've worked hard to make Cocoon a reality, and as a mother of two young children, my vision is clearer than ever: no parent should have to avoid cycling out of fear of falling or having an accident. Every parent deserves to ride with confidence, knowing their child has the best possible protection in traffic

Our Mission

Our Mission is to save lives and minimize damages during the transportation of children on the bicycle, making parents confident that their child has the best possible protection. As parents ourselves we know that children are the most precious that we have and have a clear Mission to create the world's safest children's bike seat.

Our Vision

Our Vision is that Cocoon will lead the way as a pioneer in children’s safety on bike seats, changing the safety standard and become a world leader within its sector. We dare to dream that the cities will become truly bike friendly and biking will become the principal way of transportation in the city centres. As a contribution to this vision, we want to encourage more people to bike safely with their children.

Algorithms

Infonomy is a part of Cocoon and develops biokinetic algorithms to promote a healthy living. Drawing on a deep knowledge of physics, physiology and IT, the algorithms are the result of more than seven years of R&D. The algorithms optimize energy consumption, processing capabilities and storage capacity of sensor systems.

Apart from Cocoon, Infonomy has develops products such as the Snubblometer® set out to change the game of fall prevention. Infonomy’s iCore platform delivers cloud services based on information from sensor data to a wide variety of customers.
